This new track from New Zealand's Purple Pilgrims is dream-pop of the best kind. And while Clementine and Valentine Nixon sang on that wonderful posthumous album from Martin Phillipps and The Chills, they are likely to earn accolades on their own with music like this.
"Innocence Lost" is the breezy first single from the duo's new record. It's a little bit Slowdive-ish, with a dash of early Mazzy Star thrown in too. The tune charms with its languid mood, and woozy, blissed-out vibe. I can't wait to hear more from Purple Pilgrims in the next few months.
