Hollow: Dream-Pop From Indonesia's Vanishing Muffins Is Here

The forms of shoegaze and dream-pop seem to have linked up the world via the indie form. Italian collective We Were Never Being Boring is putting out a cassette from Indonesia's Vanishing Muffins. The results are exellent.

Opener "Hollow" is rough and churning, while "Song for the Static" channels a little early JAMC for one of the highlights here on the Revolution EP. "Liminal" is a little drone-y, while the closer "Shrinking Violet" earns comparisons to early My Bloody Valentine. Each of these four cuts could be pulled off this release, slapped on a mix of your fave dream-pop, and a listener pleased at how well this new stuff stands alongside classics of the genre.
