Go Public from Athens, Georgia make vigorous New Wave with real throwback appeal. This isn't so much synth-y skinny tie stuff as it is angular-yet-catchy post-punk. And it's my pleasure to premiere a new track from the group's upcoming album today.
Sean Rawls from the band explains: "G.O.L.F. originated as a jam with the combo. Sam complains about the bassline hurting his fingers. It's about social media and how people bend their reality into both a real life and a digital life. We're all guilty. It's also about golf."
