Yes, the name of this band is @. Or, if you're not into the whole brevity thing, [at]. The Philadelphia duo of Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak are set to make their debut on 4AD in October with the release of the full album from @. But we have a single to share today.
"Autosmile", the title track from the duo's upcoming album, is languid and mysterious. It's a whole mood, really. There's a hint of mid-period His Name is Alive here, and a little more that's a bit reminiscent of The Roches (specifically the Fripp-produced album). But it's a fresh sound and I can't wait to hear more from this duo.
