This is the most exciting news of the day as far as I'm concerned. Rick Altieri (Blue Ocean on Slumberland Records) is back with another record as Above Me (AKA above me). Even better is that Lauren Matsui (Seablite, Rhymies) is on a bunch of tracks.
"Water Drops" is pulling from stuff like "Soon" by MBV for inspiration, but Rick manages to expand upon that vibe and make it his own. Background vocals from Lauren Matsui on this one add sweetness to the big hooks. It's a cut that is even better than what we heard on the last Above Me release. The full length album will be out next month but you can groove on this now!
