This just popped up on my radar after I'd already done Track of the Week and Video of the Week posts this week, but it's so fantastic I had to take time to share it.
"Misère" is the new single from new London trio Adele Dazeem. Taking their name from John Travolta's infamous flub of Idina Menzel's name, this outfit is something special. The churn of this single is borderline hypnotic, recalling stuff like "Mote" from Sonic Youth, or "Drive It All Over Me" by My Bloody Valentine. Still. Adele Dazeem have their own sound, and I'm now a fan who's eagerly awaiting their new EP in November.
"Misère" by Adele Dazeem is out now via Sonic Cathedral, and the EP, Metanoia, will be out in late November on the same fine imprint.
