TRACK OF THE WEEK: "Long Rehearsal" By Whitney's Playland

This new track from San Francisco band Whitney's Playland is just perfect. It's light as a breeze, bright as summertime sunshine, and it clocks in under two minutes. "Long Rehearsal" is an obvious choice for this week's Track of the Week.

George Tarlson (guitar, bass, keyboards), Inna Showalter (vocals and keyboards), Paul DeMartini (guitar, bass, keyboards), and Evan Showalter (drums) make music that reminds me of that of Ivy. There's a hint of Pam Berry's Glo-Worm project here too. I think anyone who's read this site for any amount of time, and gravitates to the same sort of things I do, will likely find something to love here. More music is coming from Whitney's Playland this summer, but for now, lose yourself in this piece of pop perfection.

"Long Rehearsal" by Whitney's Playland is out now via Dandy Boy Records. The EP of the same name will be out on June 20. Details below.
