TRACK OF THE WEEK: "Alexa, What Is There To Know About Love?" By Brian BIlston And The Catenary Wires

This is really wonderful. I shouldn't be surprised given that everything from The Catenary Wires has been special to date. The team-up of Amelia Fletcher and Rob Pursey with poet Brian Bilston has offered up a song-poem that is a clear favorite cut of this week.

The pairing of The Catenary Wires and Brian Bilston has yielded a new album, and a set of tracks like this one which are both poems and songs but this isn't An American Prayer, thankfully. This is nimble, witty, and touching material, and this first song is a really charming bit of business. Ian Button (Swansea Sound, Thrashing Doves, etc.) and Fay Hallam join and the upcoming release is one to mark on your calendars like I did. For now, just play this a few times.

"Alexa, What is There to Know About Love?" is out today. Sounds Made By Humans by Brian Bilston and The Catenary Wires is out on 9 May via Skep Wax. Details below.
