This is almost too good to be free. What's the catch?
Rose Elinor Dougall has graced us with a free 3-song EP called The Distractions EP and you can download it via her Bandcamp page.
"The Night" crackles with ferocious drums and a Robin Guthrie-esque guitar line that tries to keep up with Rose's vocals.
"I've Always Known" shimmers like "Love" from The Sundays as covered by Sandy Denny.
And "Hanging Around" -- I think performed live by Rose on occasion -- is hard with a choppy guitar that recalls early cuts by The Pretenders.
