Where The Hell Am I? Oh Right, Mongkok

You know, it's a lazy turn of phrase but Mongkok really is a maze of neon.

It's just impossible to easily get your bearings.

Well, it could be that I'm just not used to this section of Hong Kong.

Not sure what the name is of this place in Mongkok but it was a good recommendation...

Hot Pockets! Not really but I bet Jim Gaffigan would love these more than the fast food items in his famous comedy bit. These things were loaded with beef and sauce. Just delicious. We each had two!

One of these is beef and one is chicken. A bit plain but that's what the seasonings are for. Reliable and filling, though...

This coffee bar was in a building in Mongkok that was full of similar coffee bars, all with different themes. I guess you just do like we did: ride the elevator up and peak in until you find one that suits your mood...

The people here work hard, no doubt about it. But this hard? This was the Thai restaurant right next to my usual hotel. I'm sad to see the place gone -- or is it being renovated? Still, no matter what is coming here, it's impressive to see this woman working on the place at 1 AM on a Tuesday morning.

Here's a bit of video from the back of the taxi as we raced out of the Mongkok area. Right before this, the taxi driver was just rocketing down the not-too-crowded streets. I got the camera out and it seemed like he slowed down just a tiny bit...
