"Shasta" conjures up open spaces, and it's easy to imagine Modern Nature in a tour van out West coming up with this. This one-off by the band was written by Jack Cooper as the group tours this country (they are playing D.C. in January). The tune has a real laid-back vibe that suggests the best Laurel Canyon stuff from the Seventies, along with the lyrical beauty we've come to expect from everything from this group. "Shasta" is sure to warm your heart in this cold season.
