An Average Saturday In Hong Kong
Today was a pretty mellow day.
Despite the fact that I am now mad at myself for not writing down the address of where I was supposed to be tonight, it was an okay day.
Heck, any day that starts with me seeing posters in the subway for the upcoming The Avengers (2012) is a great day!
(I'm such a geek sometimes!)
I saw New Perfect Two (2012) at The Grand with a few members of the Gang of Film. The less said about the film the better; What sort of cruel film-maker has a cameo from the lovely Vivian Hsu where she's in an ugly woman disguise!?!
Anyway, these next few shots are for the benefit of my friend C back home. I think she's going to enjoy them and be delighted that I tried an $8USD cup of sorbet at that French chocolate place, and simultaneously horrified that I washed it down with a Coke Zero!
I found a few good titles at HMV; all that in the pic cost less than $30USD. Demi-Haunted (2002) was only about $1.50USD! And to think it's a bit rare in the US. In this city, where Eason Chan and Joey Yung are still big draws, it's odd to see a title like this for such a cheap price so I had to grab it...
I ended the day with another visit to Shakey's before getting lost in Central. Turns out that there are at least 3, if not 4, Shakey's pizza places here. It wasn't much fun eating alone at Shakey's here compared to in The Philippines with my girlfriend and her sister and friends. When she gets back here, I'll take her to this one.
