The morning started with a splitting headache.
I took some Tylenol and went back to sleep for another hour and then we got up and had breakfast on the porch while looking at palm trees. It was very soothing to have toast and eggs out there like that.
Then I watched my girlfriend and her friends go jet ski-ing. There's no way I'm ever going to go on a jet ski.
I'm too fat and, more importantly, I don't swim!
And while the life-jacket is a nice thing to have, the
"instructor" today flipped the damn thing over when he went too fast.
Seems like when the tourist is driving it, he only lets it get up to about 35 km/hr but when he drives it and the tourists ride along, all bets are off and it's like a scene from a
"Miami Vice" episode.
Then we chilled, had a nice dinner where my friends had many San Miguel Lights -- not a fan so I abstained -- and back to the cottage to sit on the porch for a spell.
it's like being in Mayberry if Mayberry was in The Philippines, a few hundred meters from the beach.
If you're prone to "stadium stop" you might not want to look up on the bathroom walls here as you're liable to see a lizard or two at night. With the open spaces in the walls in the beach-front buildings, the lizards do a good job of eating up the bugs...
I took this picture tonight and all I could hear was that "Light on the waves" refrain from Echo and the Bunnymen's "A Promise"...
